Job Overview:

We are looking for experienced and dependable HGV Class 2 Drivers with hands-on experience in the skip and waste management sector to join our team. The ideal candidate will hold a valid HGV Class 2 licence for over 2 years and have practical experience handling skips. You will be responsible for transporting, delivering, and collecting skips safely and efficiently across London, operating skip lifting equipment, and ensuring customer satisfaction while adhering to all safety and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate skip lorries safely, efficiently, and in accordance with traffic laws and company regulations. Load and unload skips using skip lifting equipment (hook-lift or skip loader). Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and safety compliance. Maintain accurate delivery logs, complete paperwork for each job, and report any issues promptly. Communicate effectively with dispatch, depot staff, and customers regarding schedules, deliveries, and potential delays. Provide professional customer service during deliveries, addressing questions or concerns with care and attention. Adhere strictly to health and safety policies, including safe operation of skip lifting equipment and manual handling practices.

Requirements & Skills:

Valid HGV Class 2 licence held for at least 2 years. Proven experience working with skips and operating skip lifting equipment. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail for managing schedules and documentation. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Reliable, punctual, and committed to safety standards. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Desirable:

Knowledge of London road network and delivery routes. Previous experience in a fast-paced waste management or skip hire environment.

Pay:

19/hour Monday to Saturday 20/hour on Sundays and bank holidays
Job Types: Full-time, Temp to perm

Pay: 19.00-20.00 per hour
