Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Skip Truck Driver to join our friendly team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of skips throughout the local area. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to navigate various routes while adhering to all traffic regulations.

Responsibilities

Operate a skip truck to transport skips to designated locations. Ensure the safe loading and unloading of skips, securing properly to prevent damage during transit. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents that occur during transport. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Adhere to all road safety regulations and company policies while driving. Provide exceptional customer service when interacting with our customers during deliveries and collections

Experience

Proven experience as a skip driver or in a similar role is preferred. Valid commercial driving licence. Familiarity with navigation systems and local road networks is advantageous. Strong understanding of vehicle maintenance and safety protocols. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet delivery deadlines.
