Hgv Class 2 Driver
Job Description
We are looking for a reliable and experienced HGV Class 2 Driver to join our haulage team. The role involves the safe and timely transportation of goods, ensuring excellent customer service and compliance with all road transport legislation.
Key Responsibilities
Safely operate a HGV Class 2 vehicle for local and/or nationwide deliveries.
Transport goods to customers and depots as scheduled.
Carry out vehicle checks and report defects in line with company procedures.
Ensure accurate completion of delivery paperwork and records.
Adhere to driving hours and Working Time Directive regulations.
Maintain a professional and courteous attitude with customers and colleagues.
Load and unload goods when required, ensuring items are secure and undamaged.
Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence.
Current CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph card.
Previous experience in general haulage preferred.
Strong knowledge of road safety and haulage regulations.
Good communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Physically fit to handle loading/unloading when required.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: 140.00 per day
Expected hours: 50 per week
