Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in commercial driving, with a focus on Curtain and Refrigerated operations. Experience of Split Gearbox is preferred. This role is essential for ensuring the timely and safe delivery of Fresh Produce to our customers, while maintaining high standards of service and professionalism.

Duties

Operate Curtain sided and refrigerated lorries for the transportation of Fresh Produce to various locations. Ensure the safe loading and unloading of cargo, adhering to all safety protocols. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery times. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving. Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, representing the company positively.

Qualifications

Valid commercial driving license (C1) with a clean driving record. Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably with Curtain, Refrigerated and Split Gearbox lorries. Strong understanding of road safety regulations and best practices in commercial driving. Ability to lift heavy loads and perform physical tasks related to loading and unloading cargo. Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently. Good communication skills for effective interaction with team members and customers. A commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism on the road.
