Job Description

This is a HGV CLASS TWO Tramping job driving a 18 tonne Curtainside vehicle.

Starting on a Monday morning and returning to Base Friday afternoon, the jobs are normally single collections and deliveries that can be from anywhere in the UK and occasionally Europe, the vehicle is a sleeper cab and the night outs are at Snap accounts or similar Truck stops.

we try to steer clear of Multi Jobs and Hand ball loads,

The driver decides on the amount of overtime they wish to do during each week, Provided it is within safe and legal limits, the hours are 0800 to 1700 each day, any work before or after these times is overtime,

Applicant must be a minimum age of 30 and hold a relatively clean licence, Our insurance can not take drivers with more than 6 penalty points, and with a Bad accident record, Please on your application conform your accident record for the Last 3 years and confirm your CPC status.

we are a small company with a fleet of 6 x 18t vehicles operating in similar fashion

Duties:
- Safely operate a delivery truck to transport goods and materials
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment
- Plan routes and follow delivery schedules
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and pickups
- Communicate with dispatch regarding any issues or delays
- Ensure that all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and on time

Skills:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Proven experience as a truck driver or delivery driver
- Knowledge of commercial driving regulations and safety standards
- Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
