We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all traffic regulations and company policies. 7.5 Tonne Vehicle and must be familiar with routes throughout birmingham delivering goods.

Responsibilities

Safely drive and operate commercial vehicles to deliver goods to designated locations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Load and unload cargo, ensuring that all items are secured properly for transport. Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required by company policies. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues. Adhere to all road safety regulations and company policies while on the road. Assist with route planning to optimise delivery efficiency.

Experience

Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role within commercial driving is preferred. Familiarity with flatbed lorry operations is an advantage. A valid commercial driving licence is required, along with a clean driving record. Strong understanding of road safety regulations and best practices in transportation. Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for effective interaction with clients and colleagues.
