Overview

We are seeking some experienced and reliable tipper wagon drivers to join our team for an upcoming spoil haulage project in Weston Super Mare.

Responsibilities

Operate 8wheel tipper lorries and other commercial vehicles in accordance with road safety regulations and company policies Plan routes efficiently to meet delivery schedules and optimise fuel consumption Load and unload goods carefully, ensuring items are secured properly during transit Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after journeys, reporting any maintenance issues promptly Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery status or any unforeseen delays Adhere to all legal requirements related to driving hours, vehicle operation, and cargo safety

Skills

Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably with flatbed or commercial vehicles Strong driving skills with a clean driving record Experience on a construction site an advantage Knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for commercial driving Ability to navigate using GPS or traditional maps efficiently Excellent organisational skills to manage schedules and documentation accurately Physical ability to load, unload, and secure cargo as required Good communication skills to liaise with clients and team members effectively
Job Types: Full-time, Temporary
Contract length: 5 weeks

Pay: 19.00-20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 50 per week

Work Location: In person
