Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently across various routes. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and customer service while ensuring the timely delivery of products. Experience with bulk tipping is advantageous.

Duties

Operate lorries in a safe and responsible manner, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations. Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition before departure. Load and unload goods, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo. Maintain accurate delivery logs and complete necessary paperwork for each journey. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Follow company policies regarding safety protocols and vehicle maintenance. Assist in route planning to optimise delivery times while considering road conditions and regulations.

Skills

Proven experience (2 years plus) in commercial driving with a valid HGV licence. Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for transporting goods. Ability to operate effectively, including securing loads properly. Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines. Strong communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members. Good problem-solving abilities to address any issues that may arise during transport. A commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and quality in all aspects of work.

Pay: From 15.75 per hour

Expected hours: 43.75 - 50 per week
