Transport & Logistics Supervisor/Manager
Outline Duties Be the nominated/assigned driver of one of our HGV Class 2 vehicles to deliver our products to our external customers and our branch network. This position will be based out of Wombourne.
Be fully compliant with CPC training, tachograph rules, and regulations.
Ensure that all products are delivered in an efficient and safe manner eliminating any damage in transit where possible.
Ensure that the vehicle you drive is roadworthy at all times and any issues are communicated immediately to your line manager.
Assist in the loading of your vehicle and ensure that all items you are carrying are in line with the paperwork. Handball will be involved if you are required to assist.
Assist in the unloading of your vehicle at the place of delivery. Handball will be involved in this process.
Ensure the accuracy of delivery paperwork and the load is secure prior to leaving Wombourne.
Ensure you obtain a signature, printed name, and date to where goods are delivered so we have effective proof of delivery.
Undertake other duties within the business if the vehicle you drive is off the road.
Any other duties that are deemed reasonable to effectively fulfill your role.
General We have a small pool of in-house drivers, and it is, therefore, essential that all members of the team be prepared to help each other during busy periods. This means that a flexible attitude to the duties to be carried out is essential; providing cover for other members of the team will be a requirement of this position.
All holidays must be carefully coordinated with the other members of the team; only one member of the team may be on holiday at any point in time (except during fixed shut-down periods or exceptional circumstances.)

Full Time - 42.5 hr Contract
Monday - Friday
Saturday - Time and a half
Sunday - Double time
Early starts required - Hours worked before 6 am are paid at time and a half
No overnight stays Minimum 2 years experience required.
