At BE Event Hire - we are a furniture hire and sales company.

We are looking for Class 2 drivers to load/deliver and set up events

Job Types:

Full-time hours on a temporary contract - from May until the end of October

Benefits:

The hours are 40 hours per week with potential for overtime. Salary 15.00 p/h It is time and a half for any hours worked over 40 hours on weekdays. Additional half time on top of that rate, so it's possible to earn 22.50 for hours over 40 hours in the working week or 30.00 an hour at weekends. Throughout a normal summer season there is usually a good amount of overtime to be worked.

Role Responsibilities:

The role is a hybrid role split between delivering/ collecting hire orders , setting up events and this role also includes helping in a warehouse prepping and picking and preparing items of furniture for hire and delivery of sales goods. Cleaning/ sorting / loading vans and lorries by hand and by forklift if qualified. Working in dispatch or delivering and collecting the furniture, offloading and setting it up on site Sometimes you will work independently, sometimes you will work in a team in a yard or warehouse or at a venue such as the ExCel / NEC or a music festival or delivering to a house or venue. We have weekend work, so whilst core hours are 8:00am to 4:30pm Monday to Friday, if the business requires it you will need to work some hours during evenings and some weekends. We also have a woodshed where we repair and make furniture, so you will be required to work in here on occasions. A Class 2 licence is required but a good work ethic and attention to detail are paramount

Essential Requirements:

Good attention to detail, The ability to count accurately and fill in appropriate paperwork. A very high degree of customer and product care A very flexible attitude and willingness to help and learn a variety of skills. The role is very physically active - moving furniture - so a good level of fitness and self motivation is needed.
