Overview

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all road safety regulations. This role is essential in maintaining our commitment to excellent service and customer satisfaction.

Duties

Loading and delivering of household furniture and effects

Packing effects including glass, china including high value items

Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Plan routes effectively to optimise delivery schedules while considering traffic conditions and road regulations. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including times, mileage, and any incidents that occur during transport. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status and any potential delays. Adhere to all health and safety regulations while on the road and at delivery sites.

Qualifications

Valid commercial driving licence. Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role, demonstrating strong driving skills. Knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for commercial driving. Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently and efficiently. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with customers and team members. A good understanding of vehicle maintenance is advantageous but not essential.
