Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Local Driver to join our team. This role is vital in supporting our mission to deliver excellence in logistics and customer satisfaction. The successful candidate will contribute to our reputation for reliability and professionalism.

Responsibilities

Operate 18 tonne curtain sided vehicles with tail lift safely and efficiently within designated local routes. Ensure timely delivery of goods to various clients and distribution centres. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles. Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs. Adhere to all EU Drivers Hours and Working Time regulations. Communicate effectively with Palletways Transport team. Assist with loading and unloading cargo when necessary.

Qualifications

Proven experience in commercial driving Valid UK driving license suitable for commercial vehicles. Strong knowledge of local routes and traffic regulations. Excellent time management and organisational skills. Ability to operate delivery vehicles safely and responsibly. Prior delivery driver experience is preferred. Good communication skills. Commitment to safety standards and company policies.
