Job Summary
Flanagan Flooring Distributors (Scotland) Ltd are currently looking to recruit a new member of our dispatch team. The successful applicant will be required to perform duties such as loading and unloading vehicles, making deliveries of flooring products, and handling cash from our customer base. Flexible working hours required with the occasional overnight stay (accommodation provided).

Responsibilities and Duties:
As the face of our company, your role means you are key to maintaining our customer's confidence and trust. You must ensure customers receive their orders in excellent condition, on time and with excellent service. Every day you will be speaking with customers and helping to get our products into their stores. To many customers, you'll be the member of the Flanagan's team they see most often, critical to delivering our goal of a truly personal service. Our drivers go above and beyond to help meet customers' needs and are always providing the company with feedback on how we can be better.
Assist in loading and unloading goods onto/off of vehicle with excellent attention to detail and ultimate responsibility for the correct goods being loaded
Conduct deliveries of flooring products to customers' premises across Scotland and make receipt of these deliveries with company procedure
Provide the business with feedback on our customers' needs and how we can do things better for them
Bring back authorised returns, checking their condition before uplift, and being responsible for their condition when received back into the depot
Carry out daily safety checks of the vehicle and filling out vehicle check forms before each shift
Ensuring compliance with driving regulations
Must be punctual and stringent about timings and make no delays in deliveries
Ensure correct delivery/uplift according to dockets issued
Collect payments when delivering to accounts on a cash sale basis
Must be safety conscious and report all safety issues immediately
Must report any vehicle issues in a timely and professional manner
Must be available by phone for our office staff at all times/return any missed calls in a timely manner
Must behave appropriately to other vehicles/drivers while on the road while in company uniform or vehicles
Overnight work may be available - up to a maximum of 2 nights per week
The Ideal Candidate:
Needs to be vigilant, sincere and a responsible person
Needs to have a professional attitude to work
Must be friendly and courteous towards customers and co-workers at all times
Must take care of goods during transit and ensure zero damage
Must be an adept driver and should always abide by all traffic rules
Should have good team spirit and work in perfect coordination with colleagues
Essential Criteria:
HGV Class 2 Licence (18 tonne rigid)
Current CPC Qualification
Digital Tacho Graph Card
Previous Multi-drop and manual handling experience
No more than 6 points on driving licence
Desirable Criteria:
Forklift Licence and previous experience
Experience driving around Scotland
Previous cash handling experience
