Busy independent Builders Merchants requires a responsible Class 2 HGV multi-drop driver/forklift driver
Hours/days: Negotiable - Full or part-time position available
Yard open: Mon-Fri 7am - 5pm / Sat 7am - 1pm
Experience required:
- Hiab crane licence
- Driving 26 ton lorries
- Forklift experience
- Previous experience working in a builders merchants required
Licence required:
- Class 2 HGV & Hiab
- Valid tacho card
- Driver CPC
- Forklift licence
Job specification:
Deliver building materials to multiple local locations (within 20 mile radius) in 26 ton lorry with hiab crane - operate Hiab crane to unload materials in a safe manner - occasionally take payment at point of delivery - accurately carry out daily safety checks on your vehicle and report any defects - responsibly check all loads before you drive on every occasion - follow all health and safety procedures in place - communicate in a polite and effective manner - applicant will occupy a predominantly class 2 driver role with requirements to float into a forklift driver post when required.
Responsibilities
Moving materials around the warehouse area using forklift / bobcat Unloading supplier deliveries Checking and signing for supplier goods received Safe loading customer and company vehicles with various building materials Load and unload lorries in a safe and efficient manner, move and stack materials in a safe manner Assisting with additional warehouse duties Inspect and maintain equipment, reporting any faults or wear and tear effectively Adhere to current health & safety requirements
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: 15.00-16.00 per hour
