Job Summary

At S Morris, we have expanded and are now looking for an enthusiastic hard hard-working Class 2 HGV driver to join our team working from our Amesbury Plant. The vacancy is for a Ready-Mix Driver/Yard Support position, you will be required to undertake other duties at times so flexibility in the role is essential, and you must possess the ability to work on your own to deliver concrete to building sites in the local area.

Responsibilities

Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise. Comply with all traffic laws and regulations while on the road.

Requirements

Valid commercial driving licence (C+E or equivalent) with a clean driving record. Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role. Strong understanding of road safety regulations and best practices in commercial driving. Ability to lift heavy items and perform physical tasks associated with the concrete industry. Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently. Good communication skills, both verbal and written. A commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
