Summary

We are seeking a skilled class 2 skip driver to join our team at Smith Recycling. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering, collecting and exchanging skips throughout our service areas.

Responsibilities

Safely operate a skip lorry to transport recyclable materials and waste to designated locations. Ensure timely delivery while adhering to all safety regulations and traffic laws. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance. Must be able to use common sense and own initiative to problem solve when required. Maintain accurate records of deliveries and pickups as required. Communicate effectively with customers and the hire desk

Requirements

Valid commercial driving license (HGV class 2) is required. Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and traffic laws. Positive working attitude Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment. Minimum 12 months expierence on HGV's Posses good customer service skills
Previous waste experience is a bonus but not essential, as training will be provided.

Working hours are 6.30am to 5pm Monday to Friday, every other Saturdays 7am-1pm at overtime rate.
