Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable HGV Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial driving, and temperature controlled deliveries but this is not essential as training will be provided, and a strong commitment to safety and efficiency. This is a varied roll driving both 7.5t and 18t vehicles and involves both multidrop and A to B deliveries.

Responsibilities

Operate vehicles safely and efficiently to transport goods to designated locations. Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in good working order. Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securing of loads for safe transit. Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while on the road. Communicate effectively with the transport office regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Ensure compliance with health and safety standards during all operations.

Experience

Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role within the logistics industry is preferred. Valid CPC and driving licence with a clean driving record. Experience in temperature contolled deliveries desirable but not essential Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices in transportation. Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines. Good communication skills and a customer-oriented attitude.
