Overview

We're looking for a Monday to Friday HGV class one driver to do mostly shipping containers on days. We can accommodate a Monday to Friday driver or two part time drivers looking to do a few shifts a week. We're a small haulage company ran by drivers. We're looking for reliable, trustworthy and self motivated team members to come and join us. We've built a great team so far and looking to continue to hire such great people as well. Responsibilities

Operate lorries in compliance with all traffic laws and regulations. Safely load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securing of goods on flatbeds. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel use, and any incidents. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies while on the road. Assist with route planning to optimise delivery efficiency.

Skills

Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred. Valid commercial driving licence (CDL) with a clean driving record. Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for driving lorries. Ability to operate flatbed vehicles safely and efficiently. Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members. Attention to detail for accurate record keeping and cargo handling.
