Job Overview


We are seeking a professional and reliable Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining the highest standards of safety and vehicle care. The position involves operating a range of box and curtainsided trailers and requires a strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities



Safely operate a variety of trucks and adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Load and secure cargo efficiently, ensuring the safety of goods during transit. Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after journeys, reporting any maintenance issues promptly. Plan optimal routes to ensure timely deliveries while minimising fuel consumption and delays. Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs in accordance with company policies. Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery schedules, delays, or issues encountered on the road. Assist with loading and unloading when necessary, ensuring proper handling of goods. Uphold professional conduct when interacting with clients and colleagues. Follow customers SSOW practices, including a none stop policy with loaded trailers.

Experience



Proven experience as a commercial driver, preferably with delivery driver experience in similar roles. Although drivers without experience will be considered and trained. Prior experience operating class one vehicles is highly desirable. Valid driving licence suitable for commercial driving duties, including a current DCPC card. Knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for secure cargo transportation. Demonstrated ability to navigate efficiently using GPS or traditional maps. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively on tight schedules. Pay: 130.00-155.00 per day
