Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and experienced HGV Class 1 Driver to join our logistics team. This role involves yard shunting, local multi-drop deliveries, and back hauling operations. You'll play a key part in ensuring the smooth flow of goods between our depot, customers, and suppliers.

Shunting trailers safely and efficiently within the yard and between loading bays. Performing local deliveries to customers using curtain-side or box trailers. Back hauling goods from suppliers or return locations. Conducting daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects. Ensuring compliance with UK driving laws, tachograph regulations, and Working Time Directives. Maintaining accurate records of vehicle movements and delivery logs. Liaising with warehouse and transport teams to coordinate loading/unloading. Adhering to all Health & Safety procedures. Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence. Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card. Minimum 6 months HGV driving experience preferred. Experience in shunting operations or yard driving. Good geographical knowledge of the local area. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling.
