We are a small family run business based just outside of Banbury, Oxfordshire. We have a range of work but mainly we are operating from quarries and building sites. We operate rigid flatbeds, artic flatbeds, low loaders, tippers, step frames, curtainsiders and moffet unload/loading.
The Job
We are looking for part time and full time class 1 and class 2 drivers. Our main hours are 7am-5pm Monday - Fridays, rarely nights out as most of our work is local but added benefit if you don't mind a night out, very rarely work weekends but when we do you will have the option. Very flexible hours, if you are retired and fancy coming back to work and want 1 day a week, we're quite happy to do that!
Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of goods, ensuring that all deliveries are made on time and in excellent condition. This role requires a strong commitment to safety and adherence to all transport regulations. Experience with flatbed driving is preferred, but not essential.
Duties
Operate lorries to transport goods to various locations as per delivery schedules.
Ensure the safe loading and unloading of cargo, securing loads appropriately for transit.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents that occur during transport.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status and any potential delays.
Follow all traffic laws and regulations while driving to ensure safety on the road.
Assist with basic maintenance tasks on the vehicle as needed.
Requirements
Valid commercial driving licence (CPC) card
Valid Drivers Card
Either a Class 1 or 2 license
Full Clean License
Moffet license would be a added bonus
Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role, preferably with flatbed experience.
Strong understanding of road safety regulations and traffic laws.
Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy items and securing loads.
Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently.
Strong communication skills for interaction with clients and team members.
A commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism at all times.
