Gwalia Recovery Ltd is a family-run business with over 45 years of experience in the vehicle recovery industry. We operate a diverse fleet of 30 recovery vehicles from small vans to low loaders equipped with specialist equipment to handle any recovery task, ensuring we provide excellent service to our valued customers.

Summary

We are seeking a skilled Driver to join our growing team at Gwalia Recovery Ltd. In this role, you will be responsible for operating various types of vehicles and equipment within our fleet, ensuring safe and efficient transportation and recovery services. Your contribution will be vital in maintaining our commitment to exceptional service in the local area and beyond.

Responsibilities

Operate recovery vehicles safely and efficiently to transport any vehicles as needed.

Perform pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.

Communicate effectively with team members and customers regarding delivery schedules and vehicle conditions.

Assist in loading and unloading vehicles using appropriate equipment.

Maintain accurate records of deliveries and recoveries performed.

Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road.

Participate in training programs to enhance driving skills and knowledge of vehicle operations and equipment.

Ensuring vehicles are presentable and ready for the next task.

Requirements

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Experience as a truck driver driver preferred.

Strong communication skills for effective interaction with customers and team members.

Basic mechanical knowledge is an advantage but not mandatory.

Previous experience in vehicle recovery advantageous.

The ideal candidate would live within a short distance of Caernarfon or Llangefni.

Ability to work flexible hours as required by the job, shift patterns will vary and depend on previous experience.

Overtime is regularly available, but not guaranteed. Occasionally we have nights out available when carrying out long distance recovery and in the main involve Hotel stays.
