Overview

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to safety and efficiency while delivering goods to various locations. This role requires excellent driving skills, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to communicate effectively with team members and clients. As a Driver, you will be responsible for transporting products using different types of vehicles, including flatbeds and vans, while ensuring that all deliveries are made on time and in good condition.

Responsibilities

Operate vehicles safely and efficiently to transport goods to designated locations. Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in good working order. Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of items during transit. Maintain accurate delivery records and logs as required. Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise. Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road. Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any concerns or questions from clients. Perform basic mechanical checks on vehicles to identify any maintenance needs.

Requirements

Valid driving licence with appropriate endorsements for commercial driving. C/CE Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle maintenance checks. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with team members and customers. Experience working in a warehouse environment is advantageous. Familiarity with flatbed and van driving is desirable. Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines. A commitment to safety practices while driving and handling goods.
