HGV Driver Class 1 (Days)

JG Pears is a long-established, highly successful, and continually expanding animal rendering business. We operate a modern, well-maintained transport fleet and are now looking to recruit an HGV C+E (Class 1) Driver to join our team based at our site at Twycross, CV9 3PL.

Our fleet is made up of brand new or under two-year-old tractor units, all fitted with the latest technology and maintained by main dealer workshops to ensure the highest standards of safety, reliability, and comfort.

Shift pattern:

Various shift patterns are available, to be discussed further during interview stage.

This role involves working an average of 50 hours per week, start times vary between 4-6am/pm.

- Monday to Friday, with alternate Saturdays. Holiday cover may also be required as and when needed on Class 2 bin collection rounds.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for collecting and delivering animal by-products nationwide Completing all legally required documentation concerning movement of products Drivers' hours rules and regulations including working time regulations Use of tachographs and vehicle first user checks

Requirements

Adhering with UK and EU driving regulations, you must hold a clean HGV C+E driving license and current DCPC card Experience in the movement of animal by products will be an advantage ADR qualification desirable but not necessary Hook / chain loader experience would also be an advantage
