We are seeking a skilled and reliable Class 1 Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial driving, particularly with flatbed trailers. This role involves transporting goods safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic regulations and company policies. A strong commitment to customer service and the ability to handle delivery driver responsibilities are essential for success in this position.

Responsibilities

Operate curtain-side and flatbed lorries in a safe and efficient manner, ensuring compliance with all road regulations. Conduct daily inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Load and unload cargo, securing it properly for transport to prevent damage during transit. Plan routes effectively to meet delivery schedules while considering traffic conditions and road closures. Maintain accurate records of deliveries and hours worked. Communicate effectively with the transport team and customers regarding delivery status and any issues that may arise. Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies while on the road.

Qualifications

Valid commercial driving licence for articulated vehicles. Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role, preferably with flatbed trailers. Strong understanding of road safety regulations and best practices for driving. Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines. Good communication skills for effective interaction with customers and team members.
