Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods using a flatbed lorry. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to navigate various routes while adhering to delivery schedules.

Duties

Operate a Class 1 articulated truck to deliver goods to various locations in a timely manner. Ensure that all cargo is loaded and secured properly to prevent damage during transit. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe working condition. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status and any potential delays. Assist with loading and unloading of goods as required.

Experience

Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred. Valid commercial driving licence with appropriate endorsements for operating flatbed lorries. Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices in commercial driving. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet delivery deadlines. Excellent communication skills and a customer-oriented attitude.
