Job Description

Grassroots Recycling is a progressive company leading the way in recycling agricultural and horticultural plastics, closing the loop on waste plastics, with our growing number of customers we are looking for a Lorry driver to join our team. You will be fully trained across all aspects of your job role as you will be the face of the company that the customer deals with each day.

The role encompasses all driving duties, early morning starts to be at first customer of the day for 8am, loading and unloading lorry, dealing with customers, keeping driving records and daily paperwork from your collection round, nights out will be required.

Main duties include:

Daily vehicle checks, on phone app. Driving Artic with walking floor. Help customers with loading materials, physically demanding and dirty at times. Checking materials before loading. Completing waste transfer notes for each customer. Working to Tacho regulations with breaks, driving hours and weekly rest period. Keeping lorry clean and tidy.
The successful applicant will have a positive attitude, a desire to work as efficiently as possible and good face to face communication skills.

Job Type: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 9 months

Pay: 16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 75 per week
