Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of goods, ensuring that all deliveries are made on time and in accordance with company policies. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to handle various types of cargo, including flatbed loads.

Responsibilities

Operate lorries (7.5tonne/12.5tonne rigid) in a safe and responsible manner while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations. Deliver goods to designated locations promptly and efficiently. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Load and unload cargo, ensuring that it is secured properly for transport. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of driving hours and vehicle maintenance. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise during transport. Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients during deliveries.

Requirements

Valid Commercial Driving Licence (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for flatbed driving. Proven experience as a delivery driver or in commercial driving roles. Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices. Ability to operate flatbed lorries safely and efficiently. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Flexibility to work varied hours as required by delivery schedules.
