Job Summary

We are currently seeking a reliable and experienced

HGV Class 2 Driver

to join our team, responsible for the collection and loading of recyclable materials across

Hampshire

. This is a full-time position offering consistent daytime hours, working Monday to Friday.

You will be operating a range of Class 2 vehicles and working closely with a team of loaders and recycling operatives to ensure timely and safe collection of recycling goods from residential and commercial properties.

Key Responsibilities:

Drive and operate a variety of

HGV Class 2 vehicles

safely and efficiently. Follow pre-planned routes to collect

recyclable materials

including paper, plastics, metals, and other goods. Assist with the

loading and unloading

of recyclables when required. Ensure all collections are completed in accordance with

company guidelines

and

local council regulations

. Carry out

vehicle checks

and report any faults or defects. Maintain accurate records of collections, mileage, and fuel usage. Communicate effectively with the transport office and collection team. Adhere to all

health and safety procedures

and road transport regulations.

Requirements:

Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence

.

Driver CPC

qualification and

Digital Tachograph Card

. Previous experience in a

waste management or recycling environment

is desirable but not essential. A strong work ethic and ability to work independently or as part of a team. Good communication and customer service skills. Physically fit and able to assist with loading when necessary. Knowledge of Hampshire roads and routes is an advantage.
