Job Description
We currently have a permanent driving position available. HGV1 or HGV2 licence holders required with hiab experience (although training can be given).
You will need to have a flexible approach. You will be covering the South West region carrying out typically 5-8 drops per day, delivering timber based products to mainly trade / retail customers. The day consists of a 6.30am start or earlier and work until finish. You can expect to work an average of up to 45-50 hours per week. There are no nights out. You should be familiar with using ratchet straps. Full CPC required. In the first instance please email your CV
Responsibilities
Operate HGV vehicles, ensuring compliance with all traffic regulations and safety standards. Transport goods, securing loads appropriately for safe delivery. Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition. Maintain accurate delivery records and communicate with dispatch regarding routes and schedules. Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any concerns or issues that may arise.
