investing in driver skills training. We are pleased to help newly licenced C1 licence holders and C2 licence holders to advance their careers in the general haulage industry.

Initially based in Fort William, with temporary on-site accommodation if required.

New C1 Drivers: - on successful completion of training (3 - 6 months) your employment will continue as a Class 1 Driver with Ferguson Transport at one of our driver bases in Fort William, Invergordon, Inverness, Grangemouth or Methil - whichever is closest to you rhome.

Experienced C1 Drivers:- allocated truck, working out of one of driver hubs in Scotland

General Haulage Driver roles are varied and offer the opportunity to broaden skills sets and advance career opportunities. Duties typically include:

To drive HGV1 vehicles with attachment trailers when necessary: attachments to include: flatbeds, curtain siders, occasional drop-sided trailers, low loaders, tanker trailers, forestry pin trailers To maintain and update training to drive artic and rigid vehicles to comply with Company needs and legislation. To load with care, general cargo such as forestry products, round wood (as per round wood Code of Practice and Company Handbook), fertiliser, concrete products, steel and paper products and any other cargo required To ensure safe and secure loading of cargo, with assistance, at commencement and throughout duration of the journey To undertake daily checks/records and proper use of tacho cards when carrying cargo on Company business and fill in appropriate paperwork correctly

Key Requirements

Clean HGV Class 1 (CE) Licence Working as part of a team is a must so we are looking for someone who is eager to engage with others to get the task at hand done
