The Role

We are looking for a skilled and motivated HGV Jet Vac Operative to join our growing drainage team based in Plympton. You will be operating specialist Class 2 HGV jetting vehicles to clean and maintain sewer systems, culverts, and outfalls across the Southwest. This hands-on, mobile role is perfect for those who enjoy practical work, working outdoors, and delivering essential environmental services. Drainage experience is desirable, but full training will be provided within this role for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

Safely operate Class 2 HGV Jet Vac units on highways and client sites Use high-pressure water jetting equipment to clean drains and sewers Inspect, identify and resolve drainage issues Carry out daily vehicle checks and basic maintenance tasks Support emergency and reactive works as part of a 24/7 response service Maintain accurate job records and follow company safety protocols Work flexibly and independently across a range of sites and conditions

What You'll Need

Full UK driving licence with Category C (Class 2) Valid CPC card and Digital Tachograph A safety-first mindset and good attention to detail Physically fit and able to work in all weathers Flexible to work overtime and take part in a call-out rota Comfortable working in and around wastewater environments

Desirable Experience

CSCS Card High-Pressure Water Jetting Certificate Confined Space Entry (Medium or High Risk) Streetworks (NRSWA) qualification Experience in jet vac sewer cleaning equipment and working within the utility, construction and highway sectors
