Job Description

Richard Drake Contracting Limited , a reputable transportation, plant hire and groundworks firm, is seeking a dedicated HGV Driver to join our team. You will play a crucial role in transporting goods safely and efficiently to various destinations. This is day shift work and you will return to the yard each day.

Duties:

- Safely operate a commercial vehicle to transport goods

- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.

- Load and unload cargo following proper safety procedures.

- Plan routes effectively to meet delivery schedules.

- Communicate with staff and customers to coordinate deliveries.

- Adhere to traffic laws and regulations at all times.

- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and vehicle maintenance.

Qualifications:

- Valid HGV driver's licence with a clean driving record.

- Proven experience as a HGV Driver, preferably with experience in hookloader wagon driving.

- Knowledge of safe driving practices and regulations.

- Strong communication skills and customer service-oriented approach.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From 13.50 per hour
