Salary: 33,000 per annum

Role Summary

As a Stores Operative/Driver your main responsibility will be to take deliveries and manage stock levels.

Key Responsibilities

Receiving all deliveries and checking the goods received. Ensure all stock is stored in the correct manner. Liaising with suppliers about deliveries and discrepancies in stock. Keeping a detailed records of shortages and spares of items. Updating inventory management systems regularly. Picking and delivering goods by using a forklift (training can be provided). Organising and delivering goods from the store to our base locations around the country.

Skills/Qualities required

IT skills, with confidence using Microsoft Office and inventory management systems. Forklift/counterbalance licence. Experience working in a similar inventory or stock control role. Excellent organisation skills. If working in a specialist organisation, a good knowledge of the products they keep in stock could be required (for example, if working in an electrical store, you may be required to have a good working knowledge of electrical equipment.
