Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to safety while tipping tarmac across various locations. This role involves operating a class 2 tipper lorry, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining the highest standards of professionalism on the road.

Responsibilities

Operate a tipper lorry for the safe and efficient transportation of goods. Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in optimal working condition. Plan routes effectively to meet delivery schedules while adhering to traffic regulations. Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper handling of materials. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery status and any issues encountered during transit. Uphold company policies regarding safety and compliance with all relevant regulations.

Experience

Proven experience as a delivery driver or in commercial driving is essential. Familiarity with flatbed lorry operations is highly desirable. A valid commercial driving licence is required. Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for driving in various weather conditions. Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. A commitment to providing exceptional customer service during all interactions.
