We are seeking a reliable and skilled Class 1 ADR driver to join our small site team operating out of a Upper Tier COMAH facility in North Yorkshire; driving a MAN TGX with either a curtain side urban trailer or ISO Tank Container skeletal chassis.
Finished goods for transport are liquid chemical and in form of palletised drums or IBCs on a curtain side trailer or a skeletal trailer with an ISO Tank Container. Handling of packages is all by others with FLT, so no hand-balling. Tankers are filled/discharged by others, so no hands on filling/unloading/connecting.
Hours are Mon-Fri days, work to be undertaken typically within a 6am-6pm range and an applied average of 40hrs a week worked, with some flexibility required, one night out once every one or two weeks could be necessary to reduce transport costs and reduce driving hours, a night out supplement is paid.
On average each week, of the five days it's typically 3 or 4 days on the curtain side and 1 or 2 days on the skeletal.
Regular customer runs to the same businesses, commonly in the Midlands, North Wales, Kent, Manchester, Preston. On occasion to South Wales or Glasgow.
Strict H&S requirements for working with toxic/corrosive Class 6 & 8.
25 days holiday entitlement with addition of Bank Holidays off.

Qualifications / Competence / Abilities
Full clean driving licence
Clean HGV Cat C+E licence (Class 1)
Current Driver CPC training
Current ADR training. Minimum categories 6, 8.
Must include tanks and packages
Practical experience as ADR Driver, not just 'has the ticket' - preferred.
Pressure bin transfer (training provided)
Other company or role specific training will be given
Good level of the English language both verbally, read and written (ability to communicate safety and emergency information)
