We are seeking a professional and reliable Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism. Duties

Operate flatbed lorries and other commercial vehicles in accordance with road safety regulations and company policies. Plan routes efficiently to ensure timely delivery of goods to clients and distribution centres. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, including checking load security, tyre pressure, and fluid levels. Secure cargo properly to prevent movement or damage during transit. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance logs. Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding schedules, delays, or issues encountered on routes. Adhere strictly to all traffic laws and safety regulations during operations. Assist with loading and unloading goods when required, ensuring proper handling procedures are followed.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a commercial driver, preferably with delivery driver experience specialising in flatbed operations. Valid UK driving licence with appropriate categories for large goods vehicles (LGV). Demonstrable knowledge of flatbed securing techniques and cargo handling procedures. Strong understanding of road safety regulations and compliance standards. Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record. Ability to plan routes effectively and work independently under minimal supervision. Good organisational skills and attention to detail for maintaining accurate records. Physically fit to handle loading/unloading tasks when necessary.
