Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Class 2/1 Driver for a small family run business driving a class 2 grab lorry.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting aggregates efficiently and safely, with a need for customer service skills and the ability to manage routes within the local area.

Experience in commercial driving, particularly with crane operation and tipping would be highly advantageous, Training can be provided.

Responsibilities

Operate lorries safely and efficiently, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and regulations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Load and unload cargo using grab Maintain accurate delivery. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers. Adhere to company policies and procedures while promoting a culture of safety on the road.

Skills

Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for transporting goods. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with customers and team members. A valid driver's licence with appropriate endorsements for operating lorries
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: 14.00-16.00 per hour
