Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods to various locations. This role requires a strong understanding of vehicle operation, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently while adhering to all safety regulations.

Duties

Operate a variety of vehicles, including refrigerated lorries and vans, to deliver goods to designated locations. Ensure timely delivery of products while maintaining high standards of customer service. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition. Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs for mileage, fuel usage, and any mechanical issues encountered. Assist with loading and unloading cargo as required, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage. Demonstrate mechanical knowledge by performing basic maintenance tasks on the vehicle as needed.

Qualifications

Valid commercial driving license with appropriate endorsements for operating lorries and vans. Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred. Basic mechanical knowledge to identify and address minor vehicle issues. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients. Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with warehouse operations is an advantage.
