As we continue to grow and expand our business further afield, we're excited to offer a fantastic opportunity to join our transport team based at our Olney yard. This is due to open in March 2026, and this role would have an anticipated start date of 2nd March 2026.
Overview
As a
HGV Driver
at Country Supplies, you'll be responsible for delivering goods safely, accurately, and on time to our valued customers. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to navigate different routes while adhering to delivery schedules. You'll represent the company out on the road, ensuring a high level of professionalism and care is maintained at all times. When needed, you'll also support our yard team by helping load vehicles for future delivery runs.
This role suits someone who's experienced in multi-drop deliveries, takes pride in their vehicle and service, and thrives in a team-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
Drive safely and responsibly, in line with the Highway Code and company training
Comply with all legal requirements, including tachograph and working time regulations
Ensure each load matches delivery documentation and is properly secured
Maintain vehicle cleanliness, roadworthiness, and security
Follow any special delivery instructions and collect all necessary paperwork
Deliver goods with professionalism and excellent customer service
Assist yard staff in loading trucks for upcoming runs when required
Skills Required
Minimum HGV Class 2 licence
Multi-drop delivery experience (preferred)
Experience using lorry-mounted forklifts or cranes is a bonus (training provided)
Calm under pressure and committed to safety
Reliable, productive, and detail-oriented
Strong time management and organisational skills
Team player with a positive, can-do attitude
