We have an exciting opportunity for an HGV Driver (part-time) to join the team. This requirement is to work 16 hours per week, across Thursdays and Fridays, 7:00am - 3:30pm.
Role Key Accountabilities
Delivery to various Pitreavie customers and sites across various areas within Scotland
Drive Company HGV, and operate Company equipment in a safe and professional manner in accordance with Company policies, procedures and legislation
Provide support to the Transport Manager and wider team, ensuring that all freight is loaded and secured safely for onward delivery
Provide a safe and professional HGV driving service for delivery of goods
Report any issues that impact deliveries and collections in a timely manner
Conduct HGV vehicle and auxiliary equipment checks ensuring any defects are reported prior to operating vehicle
Responsible for the Health and Safety of themselves and others, adhering to safe working practices and the Health & Safety at Work Act, including accident, incident, and damage reporting
Flexibility in operating other mode vehicles inside of scheduled maintenance
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Candidates must hold a HGV Class 1 or Class 2 Driver Licence (minimum 1 year) however we will accept newly qualified candidates upon pass of an internal driving assessment
Candidates must hold a digital and CPC Card (up to date)
Excellent communication skills
Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to function well as part of a team
Great attention to detail and attention to safety
Experience in a similar environment is desirable
FLT License preferred but not essential
Flexible to early morning staggered start times 06.00 - 10.00am
