We are specialist in textile and recycling company, working closely with charity shops and Household Recycling & Waste Centres (HRWCs) to collect and sort
rag, books, bric-a-brac and PPE
. We're a small, hard-working team who care about doing things properly, supporting our charity partners and reducing waste going to landfill.
We're looking for a
reliable up to 18T Lorry Driver
to join our team and carry out regular collections from charity shops and HWRC sites.
Are you an experienced HGV driver with a passion for delivering outstanding customer service? If so, we'd love to hear from you! We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, thrives on self-motivation, and enjoys the independence of working with minimal supervision.
What You'll Be Doing:
Nationwide Driving:
You'll be comfortable navigating across the country, including major cities, and handling a variety of driving conditions at all times of day.
Physical Work:
This role involves significant manual handling, as you'll be responsible for loading and unloading items throughout the day. Some of the loads can be heavy, so you'll need to be physically fit and prepared for a hands-on job. This includes emptying 10-20foot containers of textiles from local household waste sites
Vehicle Care:
Maintaining a clean and professional vehicle is key. You'll perform regular checks on tyres, oil levels, and other essential maintenance to ensure your safety and the safety of others on the road.
Customer Service:
You will be the face of our business, delivering exceptional service with every interaction. We value drivers who can represent us with a warm, friendly attitude, making each customer feel valued.
Admin Tasks:
A small amount of administrative work is involved, such as handling collections and ensuring documentation is up to date.
What We're Looking For:
A valid driving licence with no more than 6 points (for insurance purposes).
Experience in driving long distances and working with tight schedules.
Ability to work independently with strong self-motivation.
Physically fit, with the ability to manage regular lifting and manual handling.
A keen eye for vehicle maintenance and safety checks.
