Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and experienced driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the transporting of livestock namely horses efficiently and safely, ensuring the safe movement of the horses and passengers. This position involves operating a 5 berth horsebox and requires a professional attitude. This role is a part time position driving to various show jumping venues in the uk and across europe.

Duties

Safely operate a 26t 3 axle 5 berth horse box. Ensuring horses are secured properly during transit.. Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any mechanical issues promptly. Maintain accurate documentation and logs. Able to apply for the relevant permits. Communicate effectively with event organisers and customs. Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment at all times.

Requirements

Valid cat C driver's licence with a clean driving record. Have a animal transport certificate of competence. Proven experience in animal transport. Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and mechanical troubleshooting. Strong communication skills to liaise with events organisers and customs. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail. Flexibility to work various shifts as required. Must hold a valid driver card and cpc card.
