Wrights of Twycross is a UK based, market leading Transport, Environmental and Waste Management Solution provider working alongside some of the UK's leading energy and water utility suppliers. Located on the Warwickshire/Leicestershire border, we provide a bespoke range of services for both domestic and commercial customers including drain and sewer jetting, vacuum tankering, tank and lagoon cleansing, biosolid/digestate recycling and bulk haulage.

We are looking to recruit an outstanding Driver Trainer/Assessor who has a clean C+E (Class 1) Licence and a minimum of 5 yrs Class 1 driving experience who also has the skills and knowledge required to carry out driver assessments and training along with vehicle spots checks and audits. This role will be based at our head office,

Gopsall House Farm, Bilstone Road, Twycross CV9 3PP.

Role Overview:

This is a full time position, Monday to Friday, working approx. 47 hrs per week. We operate 24/7 so the ideal applicant will need to be flexible enough to accommodate early starts, unsociable hours.

Duties and Responsibilities will include:

Going out with new drivers to assess driving ability and report findings.

Identify and deliver any training needs

Vehicle familiarisation training

Carrying out vehicle spot checks before departure to ensure vehicle defect procedures are correctly adhered to.

Completing vehicle/driver audits.

Answering any driver queries in relation to tacho rules/WTD

Delivering 'Tool Box' talks to ensure drivers are kept up to date with current legislation.

Assisting in accident investigations/retrieval of camera footage etc.

Ensure driver/vehicle standards meet company expectations.

Any other relative adhoc duties.

The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:

Full C+E (Class 1) HGV Licence with no points or endorsements and a minimum of 5 years 'on the road' experience.

Up to date CPC and valid Digicard

RTITB qualification or equivalent (desirable but not essential)

Previous driver assessment/instructor experience.

Excellent communication skills and a desire to teach others

A positive attitude

Good level of IT skills to include microsoft office, email and powerpoint.
