Job Description

Job Purpose:

We are looking for an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver to join our team in Welwyn Garden City.

The ideal candidate will have a valid HGV Class 1 license, a good driving record, and relevant experience in driving heavy goods vehicles. The work will include Class 2 multi drop when required.

Main Duties:

Safely operate an HGV Class 1 vehicle to transport goods to and from different locations. Follow all traffic and safety regulations, as well as company policies and procedures. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle. Maintain accurate records of deliveries and pickups. Communicate effectively with the dispatcher and other team members. Handle goods carefully and ensure they are secured properly.

Requirements, Experience and Person Specification:

Valid HGV Class 1 license. Minimum of 2 years' experience preferred. Good driving record with no major violations or accidents. Ability to read and follow GPS and other navigational systems. Excellent communication skills. Physically fit and able to handle heavy loads.
