This is a temporary role for 3 months, potentially longer. The hours of work are 7.00am - 3.00pm, Monday to Friday and pay rate is 14.26 per hour.



Your duties will include;


Operating a variety of waste collection vehicles, using safe and efficient driving techniques and adhere to clients' requirements. Assisting with delivering an efficient waste collection and disposal service within York. Observing health and safety requirements and be responsible for the safety of the crew, yourself and members of the public. Working within a team of waste loaders and assist with loading duties when needed.

You will need:

Driver CPC Qualification Driving Experience Full Category C Driving Licence Class 2 Driving Licence Experience of working long periods with sustained physical effort Experience of using a Digital Tachograph Card Ability to work as part of a team

Previous experience with waste or recycling would be an advantage, but the client will be offering in-house, on the job training. As well as this, instruction on various vehicles they operate will be given.
