Overview

We are seeking a professional and dependable Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining excellent customer service. Duties

Operate class 1 articulated lorries for the transportation of goods to designated locations Ensure all deliveries are completed accurately and on schedule Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure roadworthiness Secure cargo properly to prevent movement or damage during transit Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs in accordance with company policies Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations at all times Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules or issues Report any vehicle malfunctions or accidents immediately to management Assist with loading and unloading goods when necessary, adhering to health and safety guidelines Occasional yard work when not driving

Experience

Proven experience as a commercial driver, preferably with heavy haulage / steel trapsort experience Knowledge of road regulations and safety standards relevant to commercial driving Experience in route planning and time management for efficient deliveries Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in documentation and vehicle maintenance
This role is ideal for someone looking for a varied role with a class 1 license.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 14.00-15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 39 per week
