Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial driving, particularly with flatbed vehicles, and a strong commitment to safety and efficiency. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining the integrity of the cargo.

Responsibilities

Operate flatbed lorries in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring that all items are properly secured for transport. Plan routes effectively to optimise delivery times while considering road conditions and regulations. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents that occur during transport. Communicate with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays or issues on the road. Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any concerns or questions from clients.

Qualifications

Valid commercial driving licence (C+E or equivalent) with a clean driving record. Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably with flatbed lorries. Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices in commercial driving. Ability to lift heavy items and perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading cargo. Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
