Job Description
We are a small family run business seeking a reliable and skilled experienced heavy plant haulage driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting loads safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all road safety regulations. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service and the ability to handle various types of cargo. you will need to demonstrate excellent operational skills such as working in challenging environments, with Health & Safety and our customers at the forefront of everything you do.
Duties
Operate lorries in a safe and responsible manner, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and regulations. Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working order. Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securing of goods. Plan routes effectively to optimise delivery times while considering road conditions and restrictions. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents that occur during transport. Communicate with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays or issues. Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any questions or concerns from clients.
Qualifications
full UK HGV Class 1 driving licence. Experience in Heavy haulage or in a similar role is preferred. Driver CPC Strong organisational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Excellent communication skills for interaction with clients and team members. Willingness to comply with all safety regulations and company policies related to transportation.

Pay: 15.00-16.00 per hour
