Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in commercial driving and delivery, with the ability to operate various types of vehicles, including flatbed lorries. This role requires excellent communication skills and a commitment to safety and efficiency in transporting goods.

Duties

Safely operate commercial vehicles for the delivery of goods to designated locations. Ensure timely and accurate deliveries while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working order. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, and any incidents that may occur during transit. Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Assist with loading and unloading goods, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage. Utilise mechanical knowledge to perform basic maintenance on the vehicle as needed. Adhere to safety protocols at all times while on the road or in the warehouse environment.

Requirements

Valid commercial driving licence with appropriate endorsements for vehicle operation. Previous experience as a delivery driver is highly desirable. Strong mechanical knowledge related to vehicle operation and maintenance. Experience working in a warehouse setting is an advantage. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating reliability and professionalism. Willingness to work flexible hours as required by the job demands.

Pay: 15.00-17.00 per hour
